In December 2013, the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA), the law firm of Shaw Bransford & Roth, and the Bransford family announced a new fund under the FEEA umbrella in honor of Bill Bransford, long-time FEEA supporter and board member who passed away in September of that year.
In its first 18 months, the Bransford fund has already provided over $17,500 in grants to feds facing difficult situations like house fires and devastating floods. The Bransford Fund has also helped a number of feds suffering financial difficulties due to medical issues like cancer treatment for themselves or the serious medical issues of a child.
Why is FEDS doing this?
FEDS provides professional liability insurance to the entire federal employee community. Bill Bransford was the friend and mentor of Tony Vergnetti, FEDS President and Founder. Tony worked with Bill at Shaw Bransford and Roth and then again after he founded FEDS, where Bill represented many FEDS policyholders.
As Mr. Vergnetti puts it, "The staff at Federal Employee Defense Services, Inc. wishes to ensure that Bill’s legacy of helping federal employees continues. Bill’s true and genuine kindness, his dedicated and passionate approach to federal employment law, and his fundamental faith that civil servants be treated with respect and kindness, are just a few of the great many attributes that come to mind when people remember Bill Bransford."
Please help FEEA and FEDS ensure Bill's legacy with your tax deductible contribution today. Give online or mail your check to FEEA/Bill Bransford Fund, 3333 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Suite 300, Lakewood, CO 80227. The drawing will take place on September 1, 2015, and the winner will be notified by email and posted on the FEEA and FEDS websites.
