Federal ERM Practice Areas: Enterprise Risk Governance

Brought to you by the Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (AFERM) and the Center for Excellence in Public Leadership at The George Washington University (GW-CEPL).

AFERM is pleased to announce the first in a two-event series focused on its newest resource, the Federal ERM Areas of Practice Guidance. This event will be held Wednesday, March 2nd (12 – 1 PM EST). The purpose of the panel session is to introduce ERM practitioners to the newly developed Areas of Practice Guidance and dive deeper into the first practice area, Enterprise Risk Governance.

The panel will consist of:

  • Nicole Puri, Chief Risk Officer at the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, AFERM’s Past President β€” Moderator

  • Doug Webster, former CFO of the US Dept. of Labor and the US Dept. of Education, AFERM Treasurer β€” Panelist

  • Curtis McNeil, Risk Management Officer for the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) and AFERM VP of Outreach & Advancement β€” Panelist

The panelists will share background on the development and objectives of the Areas of Practice Guidance. We will hear their thoughts on key highlights from Practice Area 1: Enterprise Risk Governance, as well as interpretation of this area in existing agency activities.

Event Details & Registration

The webinar will be hosted online. Registration is free, but required. If registered, instructions for accessing the webinar will be sent via email prior to the event. 

Professional Development Units (PDUs)
Upon successful completion of each webinar, participants receive 1 CPE (Field of Study: Business Management and Organization). In accordance with the standards of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, 50 minutes equals 1 CPE. CPEs will be issued by GW-CEPL.
