PMA Welcomes New National Leadership Team

The Professional Managers Association (PMA) – formed in 1981 by IRS Managers as a national membership association representing the interests of professional managers, management officials and non-bargaining unit employees in the federal government – welcomes the following individuals to the PMA National Leadership Team to serve as nationally elected board officers for two-year terms:

  • National President – Jamie Collins

  • National Vice President – Kelly Reyes

  • National Treasurer – Carlos Zepeda

  • National Secretary – Shari Ketterman

  • National Board Member – Sonya Rangel

The National Board also welcomes Former President Chad Hooper back to PMA to serve as Executive Director.

“PMA is proud to introduce this team of qualified leaders from across the IRS to shepherd PMA into the future. PMA’s new National President, Jamie Collins, has spent over 20 years working in the IRS. Collins brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will serve PMA and our members well,” Hooper explained. “Collins’ experience and dedication to service will prove critical as our nation continues to battle uncertain and challenging times and the IRS faces some of its largest missions to date to provide relief to the American people.”

“As I take over as Executive Director, I must thank former Executive Director Tom Burger for his years of committed service to PMA. Tom set the roadmap for excellence in leadership and made PMA a known entity across the IRS and federal workforce community. As Executive Director, I plan to continue to grow and evolve PMA to serve the needs of IRS managers and non-bargaining unit employees as well as promote the principles of good governance across the federal sector,” Hooper continued.

Newly-elected National President Jamie Collins said, “PMA’s new leadership team is well equipped to protect and defend the integrity of IRS employees and advocate on behalf of our members. Each new leadership team member has worked tirelessly for many years to serve the American taxpayer in their roles as IRS managers and are now eager to continue that work through PMA. Further, IRS employees interact with Americans in all corners of our country and we are proud to have a diverse board that reflects that principle. For example, we welcome Sonya Rangel, an IRS National Quality Manager based in Austin, TX, to the board. Previously, Sonya served as president of the PMA Austin, Texas Chapter. We are proud to have a board as far reaching as the people we serve.”

“As we begin a new Congress and a new Administration, PMA is focused on ensuring IRS employees are effectively and efficiently able to serve the needs of the American people. We are confident we have a national leadership team prepared to meet this challenge. Like the many leadership teams that have come before us, we are united in our desire to better the IRS and public service broadly. We look forward to serving our members and taxpayers,” Collins concluded.
