Taking Acquisition Workforce Career Training to New Heights–Mission to Mars

On this episode of FEDtalk, longtime federal acquisition executive Robert Daugherty, Acquisition and Contracting Product Management Director at Management Concepts joins FEDtalk host Jason Briefel to discuss the new Career Gateway: Acquisition – Mission to Mars workforce training and professional development program launched by Management Concepts.

Daugherty describes the need to develop the federal acquisition workforce differently as the driving force behind this new program, as the contracting function becomes increasingly essential to agencies accomplishing their mission.

By combining dynamic real-time and on-demand learning modules with a threaded storyline focused on executing a Mission to Mars, this new program is intended to empower acquisition workforce professionals with the real-world experience, individualized attention including coaching and mentoring, and a network of peers to learn alongside.

The Mission to Mars blasts off March 10 at 3 p.m. EST with a virtual and in person (in downtown Washington, D.C.) panel discussion featuring luminaries of federal contracting focused on the future of the federal acquisition workforce.

For a half-century, Management Concepts has transformed how professionals learn by focusing on outcomes and innovation.
