Why Do Federal Managers Need Professional Liability Insurance?

On June 4th FEDS President Tony Vergnetti was the featured guest on the FedUpward podcast, in an episode titled “Do you need professional liability insurance?”  Tony gave an overview of the FEDS professional liability insurance policy for federal employees and how in times of controversy and crisis federal employees can be subjected to significant second-guessing and scrutiny.  For federal managers, having professional liability insurance from FEDS is especially important due to the increased exposures federal managers face—whenever managing employees or tasks is involved, there is increased opportunity for a tense working environment or unhappy employee.  FEDS PLI provides managers with the legal protection they need to defend their personal interests in EEO complaints or similar actions.
